Is the writing on a par with past : : : : : : : : seasons or is it any better/worse? : : : : : : : : : : : : I was somewhat disappointed with the way season 5 started. The telepath storyline is by far the most interesting part. : I *really* want the writers' to be people who *know* and *believe* in the capabilities of what they are writing about...otherwise, as in some episodes, it is so apparent that they have NOT done their homework!! : I have always been told, write what you know. : That means that I would never begin to write a book, play, etc about New York City. I've never been there, don't *want* to go there, therefore I shouldn't write about it. : I don't like huge cities where I can't breathe. Back to my point! The best actors are those who have done their homework on what is being they will act out. They cannot do that without having a good script...but an actor who knows the subject can always increase the credibility by tweeking the performance. : While it is true that JMS had to scramble around to suddenly write a number of scripts....or have several different writers write up scripts...we can forgive some things but not others that are so blatantly weak or incredibly wrong! He's pulled scripts which were already distributed and written a note to everyone stating that he was temporarily insane or something to that effect. (I can't find my darned book!!) : It just doesn't wash with me....something doesn't feel right about it! : It makes me wonder why JMS is ducking so many of the US Cons! : Jennie
