Hi Firefly, and everyone else!
I haven't been on-line for a few days, as it's been an infirmary at my house; both the hubby and I have been sick.
I read your post, and I think it's a GREAT idea! If you could find a con in FL that was during an off peak time of year (like October), rates for hotel and traveling would probably be cheaper. Another thought is doing something like a mini-con, where you've basically just got club members getting together for the weekend, with or without (preferably with!) Robin. I'm going to a Deep Space 9 gathering in San Diego this October, and four of the actors are going to be there. It's limited to 150 people, so you actually get to spend some time talking to people, and also visiting the area.
Just a thought!
