Well...now some beans are spilled...I'll Tell a LITTLE bit....

Well, some of the beans are spilled already so I'll just tip the jar a little more...to entice you a bit! : I decided to go to VulCon in Atlanta this last weekend and surprise RAD! Arrived a day ahead, set up my room, scoped out the hotel...and got lost. : The VulCon team was setting up and I offered to help by taking several schedules and then going to the front desk to ask for maps of the hotel...color coded the rooms and matched the schedule by color coding the events with the room color..and began to post them down the halls of the hotel...then it dawned on me! I could have a LOT of Fun with this! I made up another flyer.... : Meanwhile, back in LA our Fearless Leader was at another Con...caught a plane for Atlanta late in the night...arrived at the hotel around 5-6 AM EST...came in the back way and up to his room for some much needed sleep. He probably missed ALL the signs! : ............but his Reps didn't! They were behind the front desk, at every point of SciFi Info down the halls, all the way down to the elevator, and as you stepped in the elevator you thought that you had escaped them...NOT!! There, when you turned around, above the buttons was.... : "REMEMBER BYRON !!!" : The Reps saw them all! "Jennie's here somewhere!" : they said. : The next morning I ran into Erik and Scott after working on yet another Hotel Entryway Poster... : They brought back recognisance...Robin was at his table signing autographs...hehehe! I went in through the back door of the Ballroom (RAD's table was right beside the usual entryway) and we loaded up my videocamera, had Erik go out into the hall and start videotaping RAD at the table...then I slipped quietly into the line, bought a pic, waited my turn....handed a half awake RAD the pic, leaned over as he started writing and said, : "To Jennie Orlando"...he must have been in Never Never Land...so I repeated just a bit louder, "To : Jennie ORLANDO!"...he shot me a double take and jaw drop! Gotcha!! : OH! It was so much fun! Poor guy! Lack of sleep and all! It was such an unfair advantage!! : We talked about a number of things...the Fan Club, : the Conventions, the British Fans on their website, and other matters... : This was the first Con where I actually saw his : Werewolf video...it was....CLASSIC! : And he read his poetry....I thought that he meant : POOH the bear! : He certainly knows how to entertain the crowd! : They actually wanted to hear more! : Oh...I'll leave some room for Robin to remark! : He's a bit busy these days so forgive him if he doesn't answer until Tuesday! : The whole crew at VulCon were tons of fun! We all had a great time...I had the Klingon Empire next door to me, the local Star Trek group directly below me, and a small contingent of well informed internet folks the floor above me! Went to the 10th Anniversary Party of the local Star Trek group...had a great time! They were all wonderful folks! It *was* a bit strange coming out of my room in the morning and finding a Klingon coming out just ahead of me! Kinda Surreal, let me tell ya!! : Jennie
