Uh-oh! There's Thumper
who's thumping about

to announce with a shout!

With bells on my feet

so we can all meet.
But then she goes
and throws us a curve,
A fortnight to wait,
I'll swanee, what nerve!
She should never have told us
to wait a whole week
before we can "see" her
appear at the meet!
O now we will wonder
and hatch out a plan
of what to say to her
that each of us can.
And so our new friend
will be part of the crowd
when at last she recovers
