Actually, I'm glad that you asked that question. Robin won't. We've been very busy with things on many different avenues...but we finally caught up with each other at Dragon Con...made some decisions on the banking and I'm still getting information from different areas, trying to reduce the actual cost to the foreign segment of our Club. It's amazing how complex and different the rules are!
The Initial Newsletter, which is actually a combination of the Flyer and 1st Newsletter, was presented to Robin on his Birthday at DragonCon. He forgot the flyers...and I had just finished the newsletter...so with the help of our wonderful Fan Friends, Muriel Moore and Ellen Courtemanche, as well as (believe it or not!) Theresa Mutchler, the President of the Jason Carter Fan Club, and her assistant, Barbara, one morning at a breakfast meeting, the newsletters were copied in a shoppe in downtown Atlanta and we spent forever filling in some blanks, folding the newsletters, and inserting a flyer for ZONCON (coming up Oct 3rd weekend in Baltimore).
Now, as to the checks...I will send a letter out plus the original check with the Initial Newsletter to those who sent in checks for membership, which I have not deposited yet...I did not want them going in my personal checking account...I did not feel it was ethical. You will then have an opportunity to either mail me a new check or send that earlier one back and I will then deposit it in the new account.
If you do not send a check back...I will not send out the Fan Club membership kit and future newsletters...but you will have that one newsletter to keep.
