I had a friend who was found by a stray kitten. Unfortunately it was crawling with fleas (and long-haired to boot). In the end, he managed to shampoo it, threw it into the shower cubicle and shut the door. It worked, but he needed large amounts of plasters and Savlon. And also about fifteen towels and a hairdryer, which the cat actually liked.
The solution is probably to get cats that are dumb enough to fall in the bath, but just make sure you're not in it at the time.
