Be kind...just because I got an A on it doesn't mean it's good. LOL : : : The Ballad of The Hazelnut : : : : It began one night in the weeks after Christmas. : : When my dog Jake had some kind of sickness. : : I would feed him but then he would just throw it up. : : I did not know what to do with my poor sick pup. : : By morning he didn't improve at all. : : He hadn't the strength to come to my call. : : Soon I decided that he should go to the vet, : : for no one wants to lose their most favorite pet. : : I begged to be told of whate're was found, : : until I got the call I made no sound. : : "A small, hollow and round object it seems to be." : : She decided to operate to save my poor hound. : : Even before she had made the first cut, : : she thought that it might be some kind of nut. : : She found the nut lodged in his upper intestines, : : and waste was unable to get to his colon. : : She fixed up the problem and stitched him up. : : Then she gave me the nut in a plastic ziploc. : : She said "If you had waited a day more he'd be dead." : : "Then I will now take him home and put him to bed!" : : : : By the one and only Kristen M.
