Yes I was woken up this morning told that my machine was off the air, turned out to be a disk failure.
I've restored from good backups by the looks but a few days old.
hope everything is working.
Total and utter coincidence that this has given out the past three same days in the last weeks.
I have kludged in a spare disk to get it working. should be ok now.
