Okay, here it is, the con report from the weekend. I was going to post on Sunday night but ended up crashing! Too little sleep.

Have you ever had one of those weekends that you wish wouldn't come to an end? Well, I experienced one of those weekends. Although it was very exhausting, it was great.

Friday: I thought it was going to be one of those days where nothing went right. It took me over an hour to get to the hotel (which is usually only approx. 1/2 hour away). When I got there, I got my registration, found the charity auction office (as most of you know I work on the auction) and met up with the guy (John) I work with on the auction. We decided to go across the street for dinner...the waitress forgot to order our meal. Two hours later (10:00pm) we finally were eating - on the house. We walked back to the hotel and as we went down one of the main corridors I spied a tall gentleman with a ponytail. Even though I saw him from the back, I knew it was Robin. I got Robin's attention and we said our hellos. About 20 minutes later I met him in the bar - finally got buy the man a drink. We chatted for a while. He got a hold of the karioke (sp) book and picked a song. I don't know if he expected me to do it, but I went up and signed him up for the song (also made a point of letting the DJ know who I was filling out the form for!!). Three songs later, Robin was up singing "The Lady is a Tramp" Klingon style! We hung out a little while longer and he went to visit with Pat and Jeff. I stayed at the bar with his liason (I think her name was Dagmar - but can't remember). She's a hoot. Finally, I hopped in my car and went home. Well, I couldn't fall asleep for a long time.
Saturday: I woke up about 4:15am and tried to convince myself that it was way too early to get up. I ended up getting up around 5:30am. I picked up a friend at 8:00 and away we went back to the hotel. Saturday was an extremely busy day. First thing I did was have a photo (polaroid) taken with Jeff, Pat and Robin. It turned out pretty good. I listened to Pat and Jeff speak (unfortunately Jeff had hurt his back - he says Pat did it, you read between the lines :) - and was in obvious pain) then listened to John De Lancie. I then went to Pat & Jeff's autograph table - met webmasters Red & Dennis (Galactic Gateway), and got to talk with all them shortly. Robin was right beside them. I gave him your messages and he was happy to see them. I lost track of the number of hours the 3 of them signed stuff! I saw them a few more times when I had to get auction stuff autographed. At 4:00pm, I went and listened to Robin's talk. He did some 'interesting' impersonation. If you ever get a chance to see him, get him to do his impression on Jason Carter! He recited part of "The Bottom" song. He had everyone laughing. Around 6 o'clock, my friend and I went for dinner then I took her home. I drove back to the hotel with all good intentions of getting the auction work all done but I got to the auction office and
told John I had to have at least an hours nap before I could do anything. So I had my nap, got up and worked for two hours on the auction stuff. I went down to the bar for a bit, just for a break. Checked out the dance but not much was happening there. I decided I would stay at the hotel that night and ended up spending it in the charity auction office. So, as you can imagine, I didn't get much sleep that night either. Thank goodness the room had a shower in it!
Sunday: My morning was spent with the auction. Robin had to speak to the crowd at 10:00am, I didn't get to see that one. We had Richard Hatch, Jack Stauffer, Alexandra Tydings, Claire Stansfield, Eric Stillwell and John De Lancie come down and auction stuff off for us. It was really funny. Robin, Pat & Jeff couldn't make it down because they were back at it autographing. Once the auction was done and the money counted (almost $5,500) I relaxed for a bit. Jeff, Pat and Robin were doing another photo session at 3pm. I went up there and said a quick goodbye to Robin (who for some strange reason had a green tongue?!?)
It was really hard to leave and start thinking about work again. Even today (Monday) I'm still groggy and it was very hard to get into the swing of work.

I'll talk to you more in chat on Thursday - 9:00pm est.
