I have just came back from my exciting adventures at Dragon Con 2001 and I enjoyed the best birthday party of them all.
I was very glad that I got to help make RAD's Birthday a sweet success, inasmuch as mine.
I will tell you that this is his 3rd visit to Dragon Con and he had the best time of his life.
One of the things I did was to present him with his birthday present at the American Sci Fi track.
I remembered that I was warming the croud up, using the lessons I learned in the art of icebreaking and warming up the crowd.
At least I got the crowd interested and warmed up when RAD came in and called my name.
And I became a good girl and did the presentation, in which I did a little speech, in which I said that on behalf of your fans and Borders Books, Music And Cafe, in Atlanta, GA, USA, I present you with your birthday present. He loved the goodies I gave him-
A Harry Pottor Slipcase, A Wheel Of Time Audiobook, A Copy Of An Upcoming Book and The Cleopatra DVD, since I had a DAnger Sense feeling that he now has a DVD player, which is one of those requirements if one is to be a successful person in the new century!
Later that day, I was able to help my other pal, Bob Burden out and as a reward, I earned a birthday gift.
Being that I am a good hearted heroine that I am, I decided to give RAD the Flaming Carrot action figure, being that I remembered the lessons about how important it is to play your part and share the wealth, theough the art of Philantropy And Humanitarian Giving,
He gave me one of those special autographed photos.
On the last day he was here, I made sure he got my CDs, Encore Gold And Rock For Justice, in which if he needs a musical pick me up after a hard day on the set, he could just pop the CD into the Disc Walkman or in the CD/DVD ROM of his computer and he would be able to remember how I helped made not only my birthday party a sweet success, but made his birthday viuit to Dragon Con a sweet success as well.
And the best part? Well, I finally did reveal who I am, the real person behimd the mask, as a sign of trust, in which I was very obedient.
He even made sure that I went straight home to bed after the closing ceremonies.
At 2:30PM on Labor Day, I said good-bye and godspeed on the journey home.
I remember that I did get a plaque for 15 years of loyality to Dragon Con, which in my eyes, was THE best birthday present I ever was so honored with.
And I did get to thank all the fans and RAD for making this year's Dragon Con and my birthday party a sweet success. And I accepted the plaque and said that this is as grand as winning an Emmy or a Grammy award, but only better.
After I got my plaque, I said goodbye to all my fans and went straight home to bed.
At least I was very happy that RAD looked out for me and made sure that I did do the right thing.
Well, time for me to go and get some sleep.
