What a week...

Last week sure was an awful one...I was hoping that I would never have one of those "I remember where I was when..." stories. Now I have one and I wish more than anything that I didn't. It's horrible that this tragedy was on such a large scale that rescue workers are still digging through debris to find people. It's shocking and horrendous that something like this can happen here where we think we are so safe and powerful. A lot of people are thinking "Why doesn't God prevent things like this?" Well, I truly believe that God(whatever form of Him you believe in) can only speak to those who are willing to listen. If you are malicious as these terrorists were, then of course you are not listening to anything peaceful. God has, however, acted through the rescue workers risking and sometimes losing their lives in saving others, the many people who gave blood, food, and other supplies, and the passengers on at least one of the planes that tried to take over the planes to avert them from hitting other highly populated areas even though they themselves knew that they would still likely not survive(this is only a rumor on the news, but it's something that I like to believe is true). So maybe there is still hope for us yet. I sure hope so. I do believe that no matter how many cruel people there are in the world, the majority are good.
I'm sorry that I haven't been in chat for so long, but I have class on Thursday nights now as well as a lot of class reading to work on so I don't know when or if I'll be able to come back to chat. I'll try to drop by when I can but if not I 'll keep trying to check back in here every now and then. I hope that everyone is doing well and that everyone and their loved ones are safe. I'll talk to you all soon.

Eily
