People have posted recently! I come in all the time and no one posts anymore. :( I miss coming here and talking to you all. It's too bad this whole thing with DW pretty much shut us down. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one "lurking" still at this site. Well, anyway. I may be getting some good news here in a couple of days! My boss at work made some cryptic remark the last day I worked as I was closing down about a new "prospect" for me at work. So maybe it means something, maybe it doesn't. But I have my fingers crossed!
Let's see...Pickles the little feathered butterball is doing just fine. Spoiled as ever. She hurt her little wing today though I don't know how. I went to put her on her perch and there was a little spot of blood on my shirt. My little sister freaked out but I just got a styptic powder (blood coagulent-oh I spelled that baaaaaaaad) stick and got the bleeding taken care of. I put her in the sink with some water (she HATES water) to rinse her off and she just looked soooo pathetic afterwards all wet. She's fine now, though.
I got two baby bearded dragons after Spike died and they're incredibly feisty. Actually, I would have made a great episode of the Crocodile Hunter trying to catch one of the little buggers the other day. I was holding her and she jumped out of my hand. She then hid underneath the stand that I have their terrarium on and I had to poke a fish tank net handle under there to scare her out. She then went under a table I have in my living room and proceeded to run to the kitchen where I was convinced she would hide under the refrigerator where I would lose her forever! This is where my reference to the Crocodile Hunter comes in. I just knew that if I moved she would run under the fridge. So I went and got my broom and put the handle between her and the refrigerator. This served to distract her while I grabbed her tail and imprisoned her in my hand until I could take her back to her cage. It was SO scary!!!! But I got her back and everything's ok. Well that's all the interesting stuff. Is anybody out there? (echo echo)

Eily
