: Marion
: Indeed traditions change as Blockbuster remains open all day Sunday together with various supermarkets selling the so called convenience foods.

: But Marion we are hammered on Saturday into the early hours regardless of video venders and there contribution and when Sunday arrives it is a somewhat bleary eyed nation that takes advantage of the easy day that it has become.

: Up and Down the land there are poor housewife's flogging themselves to death as they try to balance the boiling cabbage along with the rising Yorkshire pudding, not to mention the roast potatoes fast reaching burn out. Take a walk at about 12.30 ( If you dare ) and breathe in the odours of the varying gravy and pass even the most meagre of pubs or hotels and you will see that Sunday Lunch thrives

: For myself I join not the mothball clothed league that put on ³ Their best² for this alleged gourmet occasion but prefer to rest easy and eat as and when and spend time over coffee, perhaps a snack about 1pm and thereafter little.

: Saturday at about 3pm is indeed a sight to see at the local butchers as frenzied housewife's barter in vain for the last pieces suitable for Sunday Lunch.

: What next Marion of the mystic meal surely you were not serious?

Jeffrey,

you would be amazed at what I can be serious about, I just get a bit sad that people assume that we are all the same, and have happy family memories which revolve around certain traditions. I'm not against the tradition - although it is not one that I want to be a part of, I just wanted to state the case for another way of life.
