Unfortunately, I got the same email. I'm posting the message they sent me at the bottom of this post, in case anyone is interested. In Shoreleave's defense, we really should have contacted them earlier about adding Robin as a guest. There is only so much money for guests, and by the time we started contacting them they already had four actors, which is going to cost them a pretty penny, I'm sure.
Once under contract, I don't think they can just change their mind and cancel one guest to add another. Oh well, there's always next year...

Thank you for your interest in SHore Leave 20 guest star line-up. We are
always interested in hearing who the fans would like to see at upcoming
convenitons.
Unfortunately, even a successful Convention such as ours has finite limits as
to how large a budget we can expend in bringing guests to our Con.
Negotiations for the announced Shore Leave 20 guests 20 guests took several
months to finalize, but were completed earlier this month. Our line-up is now
complete, and barring some unexpected event (such as a last minute acting
conflict), the guests for Shore Leave 20 will be as shown in the Shore Leave
20 home page.
We have, however, taken note of your request for Robin and will consider him
as a guest for future conventions or possibly a last minute substitute for one
of this year's guests should one be forced to cancel, provided of course that
Robin is available and an amicable agreement is reached.
