The day Byron joined the Junior Psi Corp was a proud
day for his parents...They gave him a party with all
his favorite foods and a few friends. They were also
tested by the corps and had joined up as well. The

Byron excelled at all his studies, leaving teachers
and classmates alike far behind. If only he wasn't
so quiet and thoughtful, he would undoubtly be the

the one they spoke of in whispers, Bester. Bester
was an enigma to most of the Corp. He seemed driven
and yet was fiercely dedicated to the Corp. Ironically,
it was Bester who had taken a personal interest in the
young recruit and had guided his training from behind
the scenes. This was the first time Bester had ever
shown such a strong professional interest in the
younger recruits.
Back from an air drill, Byron removed his helmet,
shaking out his long blonde hair, it had finally
grown back after being shorn off for PsiCorp Bootcamp
(his mother had wept). Thinking about his mother,
Byron's hand automatically went to the pendent, a
family heirloom his mother had presented him when
he was first selected for PsiCorp Officer training.
He used the pendent to focus his thoughts, especially
when he was troubled, like now.....ANWENN
