: : Whilst I address you Jennie I also wish to share this with all those friends I have met, Mary, Purpy, Kelly, Mish, Tessa, Anwen and many others, and also my two sons Simon and Robin.
: : People have told me often that I write sometimes with such feeling and depth that my words bring tears forth as the words are breathed in deeply to the heart.
: : Last night Jennie I was moved greatly as I understood that you are deaf ... an awful affliction but your words are intelligent and touching and then again I felt a mental tear pass.

: Jeffrey and All...

: Deafness and Hard of Hearing are simply a matter of
: a minimization of sounds or lack of sound...crucial
: for normal communication or education or such. It
: doesn't mean that we cannot communicate or learn..
: (TTY, email, sign language are great tools!!)...

Hi Jennie,
I work with a fellow who is deaf. Before I met
him, I didn't know sign, or very much about the
deaf community. But, he has been and still is a
very good teacher.
He teaches me sign, and I have gotten good
enough that we can carry on a pretty good
conversation.

************************************************

: And it doesn't mean that we can't be downsright
: silly....(you wouldn't ever believe what *I* hear
: at times...I just know they couldn't have said that!)

**********************************************

I am glad you said that. When we first hired this
fellow, we thought things would be fairly quiet,
but we quickly found out different.(G)
I have learned that most people make many assumptions
about people who are different than them. And, I
have always discovered that if you take the time
to get to know people who are different than you,
you will find that they aren't that different
after all.
I have also discovered that sports is one big
topic that dosen't need translation.(G)

*********************************************

: And singing...you would *never* want to hear me
: sing!! For years I sang with my church choirs...
: didn't realize until recently that I was singing
: offkey the whole time...irksome to hearing folks!
: ....as well as making up my own words along the way
: ...ya know the song, "My Bonnie Lies over the Ocean"?
: Well, I was a very spiritual child...I sang,
: "My Body Lies Over the Ocean, My Body Lies over the Sea,
: My Body lies over the Ocean, so bring back my body
: to me"...made perfect sense to me! I knew that
: the corporal body and spiritual body were different
: but they worked together.

***********************************************

I don't think that's a deaf thing. I have
heard stranger translations of song lyrics.

**********************************************

: : I once met someone whom I discussed matters of life and of the occult ... of telepathy and of religion. This man was dressed more shabbily than I but I saw that he was a man and so I asked him what did he think of the state of the world today and of such matters. It was in a far off country perhaps not so well off as the western world. When I repeated my question this man looked at me with a gentle smile upon his face and said ³ I would love you and be with you forever ²
: : This reply has haunted me all my life until I finally decided to return to this place and seek out my friend for I wanted the truth. I returned to same spot where we first met and to my great surprise he was there. He said to me ³ Hello my friend so you have come to understand.² I replied yes I have and he said ³ In the coming alone is your understanding Goodbye Friend ³.
: : From that moment on I realised that I had indeed been blessed and that my life would change. It did ... I felt deep thoughts of my fellow man ... I changed as a person and saw in those things that were normal and everyday, great beauty and pleasure and rejoiced in this.
: : Simon and Robin and my other sons, and my daughter will be more than surprised to read this of their Father but I shall not flinch, for I know that they are yet to feel this sensation ... this manner in which I express as hard as I try a truly moving time in my life. I believe that all of us can benefit in more care and love for each other, not of a religious form perhaps more esoteric or telepathic.
: : In this place there is great peace and I have found great pleasure and joy in seeing it grow. My son striding off into the far off with his dreams.
: : No man can ask more than this of life and of things to come and that is why I have begun to set up ³ A Truly Righteous Place ³.
: : A place where truth and belief and all matters can be discussed and we shall be able to call it a place where the sun always will shine. As my sons will tell of me I am this person ... I am very very deep ... and I have love which I want to share

: : Jeffrey

: This is beautiful Jeffrey!

*******************************************

I agree with Jennie. Jeffrey, you do have a very
poetic way of saying things. And, you had better
be careful(and I have told you this before),
because the women here might just have to
change the name of this site to the 'Jeffrey Site'.
(G) Nothing makes a woman's heart melt faster than
such beautiful words.
We could also maybe get Robin to be more talkative.
I'm sure he has inherited your beautiful use
of words.(hint.....hint.....Robin)
