The miracle of Spring is that it happens without our seeing it. One day there are only the remnants of the previous year's life, the next the hint of the new life to come, then, suddenly, the flowers and leaves appear as if overnight.

The humbling of it is in realizing that this happens without any help from us, that we are only observers in the wonder that is this planet and it's life forms.

The best time to feel a garden, a meadow, a forest is in the early morning, alone with the miracle.
